This summer, I had a chance to explore the city of dreams, Los Angeles California! It’s a place I like to call my second home because its filled with so many amazing possibilities, along with delicious weather, scenery and people! I was in LA this summer filming another episode of my latest project Carnival to the World- set for TV in summer of 2016. As you know from my blog, traveling is always top of mind for me and I love to get around in style! So when the good folks at DriveShop USA reached out to be apart of the experience out west, of course I obliged! Drive Shop USA is like a social engine for car lovers, giving them a chance to experience different vehicles when they travel and sharing the experience about both the location and of course, the amazing cars! Such a cool concept!
DriveShop gave me the all new 2015 Kia Sorento to take to the streets of LAX and can I just say, we fell in love with each other! First off, the room! This car is perfect for a production team, small family, or group of jet-setters on the go. It’s fast, smooth and feels effortless while you drive! I also loved the style of the car! Kia has made some serious end roads lately in terms of style and performance and its evident in the Sorento! Decked out with panoramic rooftop views from front to back, you look up and feel like your’e in the the middle of a fabulous LA dream sequence. I loved the ability to “drop the top” and crank up the incredible bass from the speaker system and feel like I was ruling the Hollywood Blvd. roads!
Another great feature was definitely the tech aspect! I felt so well protected in the Sorento- it gave me turn by turn directions, a 360° camera for parking with park assistance and my favorite feature; motion sensor seats, so you can always see and feel whats near you! Lastly, after over 5 days traveling from LA to Santa Monica, and Hollywood Blvd for shooting, we barely cracked a quarter tank of gas; the gas mileage for an SUV was really impressive!
As a car lover who frequents and test drives alot of vehicles, I really loved the Sorento, and I still remember the experience to this day and often compare it to others than I’ve driven as of late. DriveShop USA made this trip a very memorable one and I’m excited to explore new adventures with them as we capture the various carnivals of the world and share the experiences with you!
