DELL’s Venue 8 Tablet- the review.

Happy New Year! With the new year comes new TECH which makes this girl very happy! I love getting my hands on the latest and greatest from some of my favorite tech brands and it also means new opportunities for you to win the stuff that I review! Now that’s what I call a WIN/WIN! I recently got a chance to test out the new DELL VENUE 8 Tablet (7000 Series) over the holidays and I’m happy to report that IT’S A HIT! After checking out TechBash last Fall, and seeing the latest from CES just recently, I realized just how many tablets were on the market (A LOT). With so much to choose from, it’s hard to find one that stands out from the crowd; until now!  Here’s what really stood out about the DELL VENUE 8 and why you need to get your hands on one!

1.) The Space:  It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage memory, but you have the ability to add up to 512MB with a microSD card (that’s half a terabyte and a lot of additional space that you can add if you need to).

2.) The Sound: DELL placed the sound in the front/bottom of the tablet, so it really POPS! The sound is louder and clearer that some tablets that have it placed in the back. Sound is very important to me because I often use my devices to stream music, so this was a sweet spot for me. It also has a feature called MAXX Audio that gives it that clear and crisp quality.

3.) The Screen: The Venue 8 boasts an 8.4 inch face with clean lines and dark charcoal color.  It’s slimmer and elegant so perfect for the girl (or guy) on the go that doesn’t want to carry a heavy tablet around, making it ideal for travel! Shutterbugs, you’ll also love the three camera feature for a wider image for photos and video.

4.) The Visuals: This bad boy is equipped with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution that make the colors and images POP and come to life.

5.) Great battery life even with lots of APPS – I enjoyed the amount of apps that I could download to this device. There are literally hundreds of apps that you can download and enjoy and with the over 10 hours of battery at mid illumination before it powers down, so you have ample time to enjoy!

Overall the DELL VENUE 8 is a great tablet for travelers, for kids (as long as you buy a sturdy case protector) and great for women because it’s very light and they can carry it inside their purses. If you’re looking to switch up and upgrade your technology this year, get this tablet on your radar!
